What role will you play as a member of Ƶ's Analytics team?

This role involves developing predictive models, simulations, and optimizations to address business challenges, leveraging Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for scalable solutions.

It requires managing Pricing and Promotion, Marketing Mix, and Forecasting studies from inception to completion, and presenting clear insights to business teams.

Additionally, the role demands close collaboration with business teams to build hypotheses, solve business problems, analyze patterns, and drive consumer behavior insights.

A strong understanding of internal and external data sources, such as Syndicated Market Data and Point of Sales, is crucial to develop and support analytics and insights-based services and solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience with statistical data analytics, modeling, and algorithms, and will have worked with large datasets to drive performance and insights reporting.

Within the Global Data Science and Advanced Analytics team—which consists of Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Analytics Engineers, and Data Visualization Engineers—this role will act as a bridge between the business and the data science teams, identifying use cases for the data scientists and co-developing analytics solutions.

Qualifications
What you’ll need
● Graduation [ BE or BTECH ], BSc. in Economics, B.STAT in Statistics, Masters in Statistics, MSc in Economics, MBA in Business Analytics / Data Science
● 10+ years of experience in driving analytical insights and solutions
● Experience supporting and working with multi-functional teams in a dynamic environment
● Strong hands-on/experience on developing statistical models, such as regression, ridge regression, lasso, random forest, SVM, gradient boosting, logistic regression, K-Means Clustering, Hierarchical Clustering etc.

● Strong hands on experience on coding languages Python, SQL, PySpark, SparkR

● Deploying models via GitHub, Airflow, Docker and knowledge of MLOps
● Working knowledge on visualization tools like Domo, Looker
● Experience front facing Business teams (Client facing role) supporting and working with multi-functional teams in a dynamic environment
● Presentation skills (structuring, storytelling, familiarity with ppts)
● Ability to provide structure and think strategically in complex business context
● Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management

What you’ll need (Preferred)

This role is a part of the North America Sales & RGM Analytics team. This team is a strategic part of our 2030 vision and will enable a step change in driving Ƶ Palmolive’s ability to leverage data as a strategic asset. Within this team, you will support strategies of the RGM team with analytical tools and insights. In this role, you will bring your experience in data analytics and statistical modeling to help identify revenue growth opportunities, optimize pricing & promo strategies, and improve overall profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large datasets to extract insights on market trends, competitive shifts in strategy, and revenue drivers

  • Use statistical techniques to interpret data, identify patterns, and generate actionable insights

  • Leverage price and promotion elasticities and conduct what-if simulations to assess potential pricing strategies.

  • Work with internal teams and external partners to help develop and implement predictive models to optimize price and promotion strategies and assortment mix

  • Refine and improve these models based on feedback and actionability of insights

  • Work with cross-functional teams to align on tactics and strategies to implement

  • Monitor implementation and effectiveness of revenue growth initiatives

  • Stay updated with the latest analytical tools, technologies and approaches to enhance effectiveness of advanced analytics initiatives

  • Manage offshore support teams to develop and disseminate pricing dashboards that enable the organization to track and assess pricing dynamics quickly and easily

  • Perform competitive SWOT analyses, particularly in regard to everyday and promotional price points

  • Collaborate with Marketing and RGM teams to align on potential pricing moves with a constant lens on Brand strategies

  • Collaborate with Sales to identify both distribution and co-promotional risks and opportunities

  • Collaborate with Finance to assess financial KPIs that accompany various pricing scenarios


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics, Data Science, or related field

  • 7+ years of experience in CPG

  • Expertise in Advanced Analytics - in particular with relation to Price&Promo elasticity models and Assortment models/strategies

  • Proficiency in the analysis of syndicated data (Nielsen/IRI) and the application of syndicated data to examine and interpret prevailing market trends.

  • Ability to leverage expansive datasets to develop insights on pricing strategies & tactics to craft commercial sell-in stories

  • Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets (MS Excel/Google Sheets) and slides (MS PowerPoint/Google Slides)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing or strategizing with trade rates

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $120,000.00 - $157,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year).   • Work with Internal Analytics teams & Information technology teams to learn and advance on developing sustainable and standard reporting trackers

  • Partner with external data vendors to ensure timely data availability with appropriate data sanity

  • With constantly evolving business environment, you will find out different ways to tackle the business problem through Analytical solutions (Data transformation, Data Visualization, Data Insights)



Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate in Mass Media, Management Studies, Data Science, Business Analytics, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience working in Data Insights / Analytics role

  • Proficient with social media management/monitoring tools and digital analytics platforms; strong Excel and Google Workspace skills.

  • Should have worked in a client facing / stakeholder management role to understand business needs and draw hypothesis

  • Working knowledge of consumer packaged goods industry

  • Ability to Read , Analyze and Visualize data

  • Effective Verbal & Written Communication for Business engagement

  • Excellent presentation/visualization skills



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Data Transformation tools - R/Python, Snowflake

  • Working knowledge of visualization tools like Tableau, DOMO, Lookerstudio, Sigma

  • Created/worked on automated Insights solution

  • Worked on Competition Intelligence solutions like Emplifi, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Talkwalker, Synthesio, Profitero, Stackline, SEMrush, SimilarWeb, Salesforce Marketing Cloud

  • Understanding of Ƶ’s processes, and tools supporting analytics (for internal candidates)

  • Willingness and ability to experiment with new tools and techniques

  • Good facilitation and project management skills
