Veterinary Territory Manager

Job Summary

Provide a direct interface with veterinary professionals at the practice level to ensure the highest levels of veterinary endorsement for Hill’s Pet Nutrition and its brands. Communicate persuasively the technical superiority, practical application and commercial benefits of Hill’s products, resulting in increased recommendation in veterinary practices in the assigned region.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high standards of knowledge in small animal nutrition and Hill’s business initiatives through training, self study and market evaluation.

Act as the strategic partner of choice in small animal nutrition to specified veterinary customers, through regular practice visits, virtual visits, meetings and seminars.

Develop regular contact with all Health Care Team members: clinic manager, vets partners, vets employees, vet nurses, receptionists.

Deliver information on Hill’s products and services through excellent written and oral communication / presentation skills (for both; personal and online/virtual delivery)

Deliver professional support (seminars, meetings) to specified practices as necessary to enable achievement by practice of agreed objectives

Implement prescribed marketing activities for Hill’s, to ensure:

- awareness and endorsement by the veterinary profession of Hill’s existing products and services

- rapid acceptance, endorsement and distribution of new and existing products (new launch, new promotion materials, etc.)

- establishment of shelf space at least equivalent to the share of Hill’s products within each clinic

- establishment of merchandising and practice protocols to Hill’s Perfect Clinic standards

Implement, in partnership with vet Customer Development management, annual business development plans for specified veterinary clinics, which realize both the needs of customers and Hill’s overall commercial objectives.

Monitor the achievement of specified accounts objectives and develop, prepare and implement plans for remedial action where necessary

Attend meetings/conferences e.g. Training days, Congress, Local and National meetings, Client Meetings and Practice Open Days

Keep abreast of trends in the veterinary profession and of competitive activity and report on new activity to the center.

Maintain current and accurate records in the Hill’s reporting system

- of all veterinary practices in the territory

- of all professional and administrative activities

Manage and optimize available resources:

- field time

- driving time, Travel & Expenses budget

- advertising and promotion support budget.

Education/ Experience Requirements

Bachelor degree required. Degree in Veterinary Medicine is a plus.

Minimum of 3–4 years sales experience in veterinary industry, pharmaceutical company or Nutrition Company preferred

Role & Responsibilities
The Innovation Project Manager oversees projects from innovation design to delivery, coordinating the various internal and external contributors. He/She will be responsible for the completion of all assigned product innovation projects within required time frames and budget, meanwhile implement continuous improvement for the product innovation processes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Project Management
    • Responsible for the end to end project management of all product innovation projects, including project scoping, planning, progress / gate management, stakeholder management, risk management, budget management & etc.
    • Scoping: Determine and define project scope and objectives.

The Territory Manager is responsible for achievement of sales targets in their region through excellence in execution at the point of sale. Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Monitoring
  • Build store specific account plans to identify opportunities to drive incremental Net Sales through tracking of KPI’s and analysis of:

  • Micro territory reports

  • Category ranking reports

  • Priority ranking reports

  • Providing shopper and consumer insight to support fact based decision making

  • Management of trade spend to drive incremental Net Sales.

  • Management of promotion efficiency to drive incremental Net Sales

  • Working with the Manager to review Merchandiser itineraries (location, frequency, duration vs. plan) and roles to ensure optimal deployment of limited resource according to customer and business needs

  • Monitoring competitive activity at store level, recording and consolidating key activities, and identifying competitive best practices and discussing with BDM so that they can proactively respond with strategic/tactical refinements.

  • Working with logistics to plan, analyze, and forecast customer needs, to follow up on orders to ensure on time and complete delivery, and to prioritize customer requirements when product is unavailable

Administration:
  • Utlising communication tools effectively – UMPC

  • Checking invoices & credits are valid and accurate before sending for processing.

  • Attend weekly WIPs with Key Account Managers - sharing and collecting market information

  • Co-ordinating Merchandiser call cycles to provide:

  • Appropriate resource to support key stores and ad hoc promotion displays.

  • Monitoring of hours worked in target stores within budget

  • Weekly sign off of Merchandiser hours

  • Maintain an updated Account Profile of key customer details

In-Store Compliance

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $77,500.00 - $85,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Job Purpose:

Ensure width and depth of distribution of Ƶ Palmolive products in the given zone and implementation of Customer Development strategies so as to achieve the sales and distribution objectives for the zone.

Job Context & Challenges

Ensure effective execution of the Customer Development strategies and roll out of schemes by closely working with the stockiest, SSMs and PSRs across the zone.

Key Accountabilities:

Distribution Management:

  • Trade management.
    • Identify new markets/accounts and bring them under direct coverage on a regular basis.
    • Ensure addition of specialty wholesalers.
    • Ensure stores in route list are classified according to the accurate RE.
    • Ensure that SSM efforts are advised to reduce number of non-purchasers.
    • Ensure optimum usage of activations to drive sales.
  • Ensure sales call efficiency.
    • Selling stories range selling, handling objections, etc.

In-store management:

  • Prioritize accounts for maximum impact through visibilities (ensure coverage of top 2 outlets in every route).

Market Updates:

  • Secure and draw insights from any competitive information available in public domain regarding:
    • New products.
    • Activities.
    • Schemes.
    • Any other developments.

Data based working and communication:

  • Use data to drive overall business performance.
  • Setting objectives for market visits.
  • Reviewing sales associates and PSR performance against plan.
  • Reviewing stockiest performance against plan.

Developing and training:

  • Train and develop sales associates through required mode of training (e.g. new products, toothbrush assortment, focus on medical stores i.e. PASSION understanding).
  • Mentor and empower sales associates to perform well by ensuring that CP benefits are availed by SSMs.
  • Acknowledge any issues faced by sales associates in the field and provide support to resolve it.

Meetings:

  • Conduct effective monthly and weekly sales associates meetings.

Reporting:

  • Compile reports and information as per requirements communicated by AM.

Relationship Building:

  • Maintain trust and understanding in working with stockiest and trade in general, especially partner with key wholesalers to drive business.
    • Share success stories and Communicate program to build off-takes.
    • Mutually work towards category growth.
    • Resolve issues, etc.

Experience:

  • 2 plus years of work experience in FMCG Companies.

Professional Qualifications & Training:

  • Essential: Post Graduate in Business Administration.

Um eContent é responsável por garantir a implementação dos “Brilliant Basics” para clientes prioritários. Ele deve assegurar que os 4 pilares de Digital Shelf sejam implementados com excelência nos eCommerces: disponibilidade do sortimento foco, conteúdo completo e atualizado, metas e notas de ratings & reviews e definir as descrições dos skus garantindo as palavras chaves para SEARCH.

Principais responsabilidades:

  • Interface com a equipe IBE para desenvolver conteúdo digital e seleção das palavras chaves;
  • Participação no processo de Gates para lançamentos de produtos, com inputs do conteúdo ideal para cadas produto;
  • Acompanhamento dos lançamento de produtos e processo de listagem com a equipe de eCommerce
  • Execução do processo de conteúdo com agências e ferramentas (Stibo e Placeholder)
  • Governança do conteúdo para os clientes
  • Diagnóstico de conteúdo e condução do plano de ação com a equipe Operacional
  • Desenvolver o processo de conteúdo B2Be garantir junto ao time comercial a implementação nos clientes

An eContent specialist is responsible for ensuring the implementation of "Brilliant Basics" for priority clients. They must make sure that the four pillars of the Digital Shelf are implemented with excellence in the eCommerces: availability of the focus assortment, complete and updated content, goals and ratings & reviews scores, and define the SKU descriptions ensuring keywords for SEARCH.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Interface with the IBE team to develop digital content and select keywords;
  • Participate in the Gates process for product launches, with inputs of the ideal content for each product;
  • Follow up on product launches and listing process with the eCommerce team;
  • Execute the content process with agencies and tools (Stibo and Placeholder);
  • Govern the content for clients;
  • Diagnose content and lead the action plan with the Operational team;
  • Develop the B2B content process and ensure implementation with clients alongside the commercial team;
  • Track the digital shelf scorecard with eAnalytics.

Job Summary :

As the Shopper Marketing Manager, you will lead in developing and implementing In-Store Marketing activation programs and develop new product Go-to-Market plans for our NPI’s. You will be supporting the development of Retail Environment strategies and 5P’s based on Category and Brand Strategies and on robust Retail Environment, shopper and customer insights. Additionally, you will play a critical role in the Ƶ Business Planning monthly discipline for the assigned category.

Local Commercial Activation

  • Leads in developing Business Sufficiency plans for Category to achieve Budget/MLE targets

  • Leads in development of shopper marketing programs: Retail Environment Innovation and Customer Collaboration based on insights.

  • Supports implementation of the category activity grid and new product Go-to-Market developed by Consumer Marketing.

  • Prepares presentations and tools (5P’s communication tools, trade selling stories, New Product activation programs, etc) for the Customer Development Team to execute the plans.

  • Supports creation of tools, merchandising materials and in-store programs for effective shelf management and for inducing shoppers to purchase Ƶ products in-store for the category.

  • Leads the co-creation of customer amplification plans together with the Local teams.

  • Is responsible for conducting pre and post ROI analysis of national promotions.

  • Conducts regular trade visits to communicate findings by subcategory & brand for key customers.

    • Works with In Store Management to ensure excellent in store execution and 5P’s implementation.

    • Develops promo packaging artworks ensuring cross functional approvals







Financial Accountabilities

  • Supports achievement of the budgeted Category & Brand Market Share, 5 point KPI for the category

  • Assists in management of promotional budget.

  • D&P budget management for category

  • Follows guidelines regarding SKU simplification.



Budgeting & Ƶ Business Planning (CBP)

  • Prepares analysis to input to the budgeting process regarding the promotion budget & Consumer Gross-to-Net spending for the sub-category.

  • Participates in the monthly discipline for the sub-category, based on the CBP commercial process


Shopper Capability

  • Champions and extends shopper capability across commercial teams
