The Cost Analyst is the key financial support of the cost specialist and focus factory, and is a strategic partner to provide financial analyses and guidance to the operations team to ensure the long-term success of the focus factory.ÌýÌý

Key Responsibilities:

Ìý

Financial Management

  • Cost Analyst is responsible for the analyses of all the production variances with major focus on purchase price variances and providing the details needed to the plant, Finance, and Management in order to support the decision making and corrections needed.

  • Responsible to keep monthly tracking of all the expenses that are related to the cost at the plant and proactively communicate risk and opportunities to better monitor and control the conversion cost

  • Responsible for supporting the Quarterly Standard Cost calculations for the focus factory, contract manufacturersÌý and commercial skus for the category responsible, to ensure a timely submission of costs and intercompany prices for both materials and finished goods; collaborating with Global and Regional CBS, ensuring that master data is accurate and reviewing rate routings and providing all the explanations needed for changes to the cost.

  • Responsible for preparing the material losses information weekly, verify proper calculation and provide insights that help improve the KPI.

  • Responsible for ensuring that all the internal controls are in place and that are aligned with CFPs.Ìý Also provide support for all the Audit (Internal, External, Corporate and Fiscal and SOXs) processes at plant

Finance Trainee

Finance Trainee is an active member and support of the Finance team for Hills CEEME organization with a focus on learning and supporting activities related to commercial finance and specific accounting topics.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Commercial investment (Gtn & Advertising)

  • Support behind the process of promotional & advertising spending, promo execution and evaluation
  • Processing AnP expenses reimbursement and maintaining JBP templates up to date
  • Check completeness of accruals for AnP in accordance with JBP plans

Internal Controls

  • Support with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) control testing and documentationÌý
  • Assist with implementation of audit recommendations, both from PWC and Corporate audits

Balance sheet reconciliationsÌý

  • Monthly preparation of balance sheet reconciliations

Pricing set up

  • ÌýDownloading and maintaining the price list for all the CEEME markets
  • ÌýSubmitting the change requests for setting up prices for current/new products

Education/ Experience

  • Fresh graduate with a university degree (preferred from economic faculties) or last year university student
  • Previous internship/experience in Finance is a plus

The Internship Program - Finance

We plan to support 1x intern over 12 months in our Finance (Budgeting & Planning) team.

We will engage you directly as a casual employee and provide up to 1000 hours of paid work which can be spread flexibility over 12 months to suit your study patterns. On a weekly basis, this can be anything up to 38 hours per week with all hours worked from our amazing CBD office location, between Mondays and Thursdays.

The Corporate Finance Intern will be responsible for supporting the State and Local Tax group at our headquarters in New York City.Ìý

Ìý

Requirements:

State & Local Tax (85%):

Ìý

  • Assist in gathering and compiling apportionment data to be used in the preparation of State & Local income tax returns.

  • Prepare state income tax return calculations and forms in software for selected state tax filings.

  • Handle administrative tasks associated with state tax filings in 50 jurisdictions, such as mailings, processing payments, copies, scanning, corresponding to notices etc.

  • Assist with quarterly and year-end state income tax provision.

  • Assist with other state projects like planning, automation, research tax law changes, mergers and acquisition, filing short period returns, process improvements, etc.

  • Assist with sales and use tax research, month end compliance and special projects, such as refund claim preparationAssist with ad hoc property tax projects

  • Work on an Action Learning Project (ALP) to be assigned at the beginning of the internship and present results at the end of the internship

Ìý

Federal Tax, International Tax and Planning (15%):

Ìý

  • Assist in compiling and updating data to be used in periodic estimates and US federal income tax return filings

  • Assist in the preparation of pro forma federal income tax returns for entities included in the consolidated US group.

  • Assist in the organizing and drafting of international disclosure statements on US federal income tax return

  • Work with Manager, Tax Planning and Support to develop streamlined subsidiary reporting of corporate transactions

  • Assist with various ad hoc international tax and planning projectsÌý

Qualifications:Ìý

  • Current or recent student pursuing a graduate degree in Accounting or Tax

  • Proficient in Google SuiteÌý

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets

  • Exposure to the area of tax and OneSource tax software a plusÌý

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills

  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $20.00 - $30.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
